Grease Buddies™ are thick, high-absorbency, multi-purpose kitchen pads designed to tackle bacon grease, hamburger grease, sausage drippings, rendered fats, cooking oils, moisture, spills, and everyday kitchen messes.

Grease absorption is the main event — but that’s only the beginning. Use a Grease Buddy pad for wiping, dishes, stovetops, countertops, racks, grates, grills, griddles, and general cleanup. Wash it, dry it, and reuse it if you prefer.

Functional Design

The Grease Buddies™ shape isn’t just for looks.

The eye and mouth cutouts provide convenient engagement points for tongs or other utensils when positioning or manipulating the pad.

For appropriate general-cleaning applications, the eye openings can also provide added finger control, while the flexible tentacle-shaped edges help reach around racks, grates, curves, and hard-to-reach areas.

Fresh or Reuse — Your Choice

For maximum grease and oil absorption, start with a fresh, dry Grease Buddy pad.

If preferred, the pad can also be rinsed or washed, thoroughly dried, and reused for grease and oil absorption, spills, wiping, dishes, and other general-cleaning applications.

Absorbency may decrease after washing, wringing, or repeated use. Discard the pad if it becomes damaged, excessively soiled, or no longer performs as desired.

How to Use for Grease & Oil

After cooking, remove food from the pan and turn off the heat. Allow hot grease, rendered fats, cooking oils, and moisture to briefly cool before applying a Grease Buddy pad.

Grease Buddies™ are designed for use with cooking grease and oils at temperatures up to 250°F after the heat source has been turned off.

Use tongs or another heat-safe utensil to place, move, flip, or remove the pad. Reposition or flip as needed to absorb remaining grease and oil.

Avoid direct hand contact with hot grease, hot cookware, or a heated pad. Do not use over an active burner or open flame.

For General Cleaning

Use wet or dry for spills, wiping, dishes, countertops, stovetops, cookware, and everyday kitchen cleanup.

Rinse or wash as needed, wring out excess water, and allow the pad to dry thoroughly before reuse.

For Grills & Griddles

Need to oil your grill or griddle? No problem — grab a Grease Buddy pad.

Use a fresh pad to help spread cooking oil evenly across a cool or appropriately prepared grill or griddle surface before cooking. Its thicker, more substantial construction makes it easy to control and less likely to shift or blow around outdoors.

Use tongs or another appropriate utensil as needed for additional reach and control.

Utensil Rest While Cooking

Need somewhere to set down your spoon, spatula, or tongs?

A clean Grease Buddy pad can also serve as a temporary utensil rest, helping catch drips and keep your countertop or stovetop cleaner while you cook.

Use only on a stable, heat-safe surface and keep away from active burners, open flames, and excessively hot cookware.

Created by founder Samuel Ganz, Grease Buddies began with a simple idea: a ready-to-use, multipurpose absorbent kitchen pad for cooking grease, oils, spills, and everyday cleanup.
The product was developed through months of design work, material sampling, and hands-on testing. Its distinctive octopus shape features functional cutouts for moving and flipping the pad with a utensil.
